Hi List,

after sending the command "ldapsearch -D <mydn> -w <mypw> -b <basedn>
filter" without the "-x" for Simple authentication the slapd process
dies immediately with this output:

SASL/DIGEST-MD5 authentication started
ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s: Can't contact LDAP server

The "ldapsearch" with the parameter "-x" works fine.
I'am using Version 2.2.26.

Why terminates the process if the "-x" parameter is missing?
