(ITS#3434) test030 fails in HEAD

test030 hangs; must be kill'ed -9.  Running it manually, the first operation
completes fine (freshly started, the search returns noSuchObject"; the initial
load via ldapadd succeeds; subsequent searches return all data).  Note that this
affects operations targeted at the real database; subsequent searches targeted
to the virtual databases run fine; the first write to a virtual database
succeeds, while following fail.  I suspect it be related to ITS#3433, in any
case to recent changes to abandon code.
