Kurt (via the BTS, I hope),

I've forwarded this to Torsten Landschoff, who, as you are no doubt aware,
is the Debian developer that is responsible for packaging LDAP. 

I really do want to thank you guys for going through chasing down this
bug, and I promise that I'll give the new slapd a whirl just as soon as it
comes through the Debian packaging system. I'll report back to the
OpenLDAP BTS my results.
