I think the problem you mention was a liberal use of stucture
initialization that is allowed by gcc; it was recently fixed
and I think the fix made it into 2.1.13 so you may want to try
the latest release, or at least apply that fix from HEAD.
I don't know if there are special issues in building back-sql
on windows.
