In the "Configuration File Example", section 5.4 of the "OpenLDAP 2.1
Administrator's Guide", one can read:
29.    access to *
30.            by self write
31.            by dn="cn=Admin,dc=example,dc=com" write
32.            by * read

I would suggest you to let people aware of line 30 as it allows users to set
their own uidNumber, gidNumber... I guess you know the consequences...
