Of course I'm willing to test, to aid in resolution of my bug announcement.
But if it doesn't build then the test result must be negative.

That didn't do the trick; I still see this with the HEAD version that I
checked out after receiving your email:

Not sure what this means, and if it's another but.  I'll play with it on
another platform sometime later.  If it's another bug, I'll report it
separately.
