Unfortunately I'm running 2.0.23 in a production environment and can't
do it there.

I have a test machine running 2.0.25 though. When I tried to use 2.1.x I
couldn't get my data to load due to changes like no top objectless (if I
remember correctly), evidentially something changed or I missed
something.

If there is an easy way to upgrade the 2.0.25 test machine with it's
data to 2.1.4 I'd be more then willing to do it.
