slapadd memory leak on Alpha OSF 5.1 (ITS#1789)

Using slapadd to load a 35009197 byte ldif file, slapadd rapidly grows.

For example, line 108981 has a parse error in it (there are a total of
1195704 lines).  At about the time of this error report, slapadd has
grown to 89Meg.

The same release, built with the same database backend (different backends
don't seem to make a difference), on FreeBSD 4.5-STABLE, runs on and on
staying well under 10Meg.
