Configure error (ITS#1055)

Hello,
   I am trying to install the Openldap server on the Sun Solaris version 5.7,
and was getting a pthread problem. The docs asked me to change the environment
by using the following command

env ac_cv_func_pthread_create=no

 and then run configure. This does not work either. 

Please could you tell me what could be the reason.
