Re: slapd dies when queried by Outlook's Find People (ITS#15)
Hi. Thanks for responding. I turned on debugging. I run 'slapd -d 1'
and I get messages like these when I use the Outlook ldap client:
------
# /usr/local/libexec/slapd -d 1
slapd 1.1-Release (Wed Dec 16 16:04:03 PST 1998)
admin@services.sno-isle.org:/home/admin/tmp/ldap/servers/slapd
slapd starting
do_bind
unknown version 3
send_ldap_result 2::version not supported
do_bind
do_bind: version 2 dn () method 128
send_ldap_result 0::
do_search
Segmentation fault
------
and
------
slapd starting
unknown version 3
Segmentation fault
------
Netscape's client seems to produce more normal looking messages
and doesn't crash the daemon.
I have a core file, but am not sure how to produce a stack back trace.
