ASN.1 provides an abstract data definition.  It doesn't
imply any particular encoding of the data within the
protocol.  As LDAP's (octet)string encodings originated
in LDAP, I think it's fair to call them 'native'.

For editing purposes, we need to agree on the term to be
used soon.  If anyone has a term which is clearly better
than 'native' to offer, please make a proposal soon so
that it can be discussed prior to IETF#53.
