So probably the guys defining X.500 made the same implicit (or is it stated explicit?)
assumption as is now obvious in LDAP:
The expectation is that it will NEVER happen that a LDAPserver
as a result of a query return lots and lots of continuation references.
I wonder if that assumption is valid ??
