This is a bug in RedHat 7's libc (glib c 2.2). It was fixed in 2.2.1 As of this writing 2.2.2 was in the rawhide directory on ftp://ftp.redhat.com/rawhide/ .

Easiest solution is to get the fixed glibc (2.2.2) from RedHat 7.1.
